Leftist publication, The Wall Street Journal

This was the lead editorial’s first paragraph yesterday (8/19/19):

“Republicans are worried about their re-election prospects in 2020, and one result is a frenzy to “do something” on high drug prices. Yet two of the latest ideas are standbys of the left: foreign importation and pricing penalties, which are more about politics than results for patients.”

Okay. Now where do we go? Alex Jones?

The presumption that the US government should restrict imports has now been accepted as a policy of “The Right.” Where does the concept of free markets fit now? If we take a look at the body count of governments vs that of folks like Jeffery Dahmer and Timothy McVeigh, I’ll take anarchy anytime.

I have a prescription I get from Canada that costs 10% of what it costs at the local pharmacy. I appreciate that, and the savings are passed on to other local businesses.

When The Wall Street Journal advocates for support of Israel, Saudi Arabia or the laundry list of useless military hardware that they usually do, keep in mind where their loyalties lie.

Yes,Fritz, but local businesses likely don’t make meaningful contributions to the election campaigns of American politicians. Pharmaceutical, on the other hand, have professional lobbying groups that are employed to wine, dine, and monetarily support our “leaders” in the American Congress. My God, man, where are your loyalties??
