the way the people amassed great wealth was by looting, plundering and enslaving their fellow man. Capitalism made it possible to become wealthy by serving your fellow man.”
I thought you were a libertarian, not a capitalist. What we have today and have had for a number of decades is fascism with far more emphasis on this economic ideology today as we have the perfect (for fascism) marriage of corporate enterprises with government. I’ve decided that I am an anarchist — I do not believe the “State” is needed to enjoy a productive, harmonious society. In fact, the State is a great hindrance to productivity. The wealthy have sort of found a way around the State (with State allowing the process) by developing a rentier economy — receiving income without contributing to the production of anything. It’s one reason why the U.S. is so dependent on China and other nations for much of the natural resources in needs.

What is the difference between a capitalist and a libertarian?
and I agree on our very minority definition of fascism.
