My, my, you surely have a broad spectrum as to what constitutes music. Nature gave Vince Scully an announcer’s voice, and he did quite well in the utilization of that endowment. I played second base in baseball in grammar and high school. But I never understood the sentiment that those who find the sport boring simply do not understand the game or the subtitles and nuances. I think maybe baseball enthusiasm is for people who need a slow pace to understand what is happening; the people who, once a momentary spurt of energy is expended cheering a grand-slam home run, they need a following period of many, many moments of inactivity on the field to rest and rejuvenate their minds.
