The men’s and women’s basketball teams each made it to the Sweet Sixteen.

First, I think any public education is evil. As is theft of any kind. My kid came home from his first couple weeks at university and as a response to my usual rants against the welfare state he said, “but we vote for it.” So that makes it alright to steal from a childless family to educate one who happens to live here?

But. Iowa has been the second biggest blessing in my life. I moved here, met my wife, and live among fine people. I just want to say how grateful I am to be an Iowan.

Both Iowa teams were defeated. Maybe they studied too much, eh?
