Douglas was the son of a black father and a white mother. He married an illiterate black girl and denied her the right to learn to read and write. She learned to cook, take care of the home, and care for their 5 children. His second wife was an educated white woman and women’s suffragette.
I don’t know. Do you remember what grade you received on a paper from junior high?
Now that I think about it, I do remember some grades from high school. If only I could remember what I came here for.

I did a report on him in junior high, I don’t remember anything about it. How about that?
What grade did you receive? Not surprised you remember little about him (or the re[port). His legacy is full of embellishments.

Oh, that’s easy, I never got above an “F.”
