Live at Caesars Palace was an album that helped me branch out from adolescent rock  trap. What a great album. Later I saw he and his band play at the Newport Jazz Festival that I’ve recently written about. Sure, he was a great athlete but also a bandleader. Luckily the union didn’t ruin his band.
