Letter to Progressive Farmer Magazine about reading comprehension

Dear Editor,

I was shocked to read the letters you published regarding your issue on climate change.

I too am a denier that humans can affect climate, at least without causing widespread poverty. I also view your magazine as generally left of center. But I thought that issue was extremely balanced, in that it provided information useful for dealing with a changing climate, no matter what the cause. Nowhere did I find a promotion of solar power or ridiculous emissions regulations or the like.

My hat’s off to Progressive Farmer and the many readers who read and comprehended that September issue. Great opportunities lie ahead for those who adapt, rather than fight the inevitable.

Love, Fritz Groszkruger

  1. There is no genuine science involved with anthropogenic climate change (ACC). Climate computer models (none of which agree with one-another) are programmed by statisticians, not so-called “climate scientists.” Critical items like cloud formations, the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, El Nino, the sun’s solar cycles, etc. are not even considered in the models. Studies use cherry-picked tree ring data (selected from a tiny quantity of trees – like less than twenty) or similar selective studies of ice core measurements. Also, reputable climate scientists are now forecasting a mini ice age beginning in the 2030s’s that is driven by a 60% reduction in solar flare activity. To legislate any requirements because of ACC is absolutely ludicrous.

    • These letters I mentioned were written by “deniers.” And they so discredit our position. They didn’t even comprehend a tiny bit of the articles in the magazine, yet the editor printed them anyway.
