Branstad would be proud of such a wonderful accomplishment

Growing the population. Our governor has always been for growing Iowa. Maybe he should take a lesson from Germany (let’s see how popular that idea is then):

  1. Bit of a confusing article, no? Starts out writing about the migrants flooding a German town with a tiny population and segues into a condemnation of modern-day Nazis. Germans are obsessed with guilt over WWII Nazi behavior.

I think we should take the migrants by the millions and set them down in fly-over States like Iowa. That way, the elitists on the East and West coasts wouldn’t have to have any first-hand experience with the new “Americans” (who undoubtedly can’t wait for the assimilation re-education programs to begin). All the elitists would have to do is write articles about America’s generous welcoming of those less fortunate. Wouldn’t an Iowa welcome be the libertarian way of accommodating these persecuted folks who are only searching for American freedoms, American liberties, and American democracy?

    • You are right about the German obsession with WWII guilt. Being a movie addict, I (we)’ve seen tons of German WWII movies, and they are exceptional. Dawn kids me about getting these NAZI movies on Netflix.

Iowa is far from libertarian, in fact I believe we get more than most other states back from the US government pool of wealth.

What I’d like to see is hordes of refugees dumped in Bel Air and Newport Beach. There are more war profiteers there than Iowa.
