Sounds to me like people stopped throwing their money away and that’s why he was forced to quit. I suspect he had very few individual donors and what he did manage to accumulate came from GOP PACS. He was never a high-in-the-polls contestant, so likely wouldn’t have garnered much “grass roots,” individual contributors.
His anti-union proposals were really getting somewhere. That’s about it.

What I was referring to was the people contributing to Walker’s campaign ended up throwing their money away on a quitter.
