  1. Yep . . . that was back when the screenwriters and film directors embraced some sense of good nationalism, some sense of rational thinking, and a higher level of understanding of human nature. But when politicians fall in love with central planning and the control over others and the personal wealth-building opportunities afforded to them, then forget all about selfless duty to the country and loyalty to its Constitution.

    • In the Youtube comments it was noted Stewart’s time in the military and that he lost a son in Vietnam. The clip defines poignant, eh?

      I wrote a movie review column that included this one. I’ll try to post it on the blog sometime.
