Is it just me, or is there a new definition of “facts”?

Not a new definition. Just taking advantage of the zeitgeist of today. That is, the attention spans of 95% of the American public are so short (maybe 24 to 36 hours?) that assertions made in print today will all be forgotten by tomorrow afternoon. For proof of this contention, one only has to make a list of the Obama administration’s scandals, prevarications, and law-breaking behavior to accept the assertion as gospel.
