Some notes on the Hampton-Dumont Community School District Newsletter…

… addressed to Postal Patron:

“By now, the car is so old, the only method now to buy a replacement a part is to look on eBay.” [sic]

                                                – a quote under the heading “Excellence Every Day” written by a teacher about a high school freshman

Maybe they should check out “Literacy Nights” at South Side Elementary

Then there is this from the high school counselor:

“Just a reminder…all seniors are required to complete a job shadow prior to graduation.”

Maybe I’m just having a senior moment but is this newsletter supposed to ward off potential employers and make me want a refund of my property taxes?

  1. You only hear of a school district when people get shot there. It is a gun free zone, though, so the danger exists.
Actually, Dawn informs me what a job shadow is and that they have been around a long time. Heck, I wanted some money and got a job. What’s the shadow for? Imbeciles? It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. No thinking eliminates the need to think.

  2. Shadow = Lamont Cranston.

Would any anti-handgun crusader post a sign on their home that says, “Gun Free Home (or Zone)”?
